If you live in the UK and enjoy finding new pieces of jewellery then you’re in luck. The UK is lucky enough to enjoy a wide selection of world class jewellery events, exhibitions and shows catering for all sorts of tastes – from handmade designer pieces right though to fashion jewellery, there really is something for everyone. Being lucky enough to do the jobs we do, we’ve been able to go to quite a few of the UK’s best jewellery shows and we really couldn’t recommend going enough.

If you’ve never been to a UK Jewellery show then we thought we’d highlight some of our favourite events and our reasons why you should go! We’ve also tried to be extra helpful (because we’re nice like that!) and include full details of how to get tickets and attend.

The Jewellery Show – London

With multiple rooms and a great selection of some of the UK’s best jewellery designers, the jewellery show in London is one of the best places to find new and exciting designs. Hosted at London’s Somerset House it also has the benefit of being in beautiful surroundings. Held over two days in June there’s plenty of opportunity to wander round and get some new inspiration.

Desire Jewellery and Silversmithing Fair

The Desire Jewellery and Silversmithing fair carefully selects the most talented jewellers and silversmiths, so you can always rest assured that the quality and standard of pieces on show will only ever be the best. The Desire fairs are held in multiple locations throughout the year and offer a unique opportunity to get up and close with some incredible craftsmen and women. It’s always a great show for us, and will remain firmly in our calendar for years to come!

Cockpit Arts Open Studios

The Cockpit Arts open studio events are absolutely fantastic because they enable to visit jewellers in their studios. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the event, Cockpit Art’s is an award winning social enterprise whose purpose is to provide studio space for craftsmen and women in London. Since 1986 they’ve been helping new designers grow their business, many of whom now enjoy international success. Don’t miss this amazing opportunity to see how some of the UK’s most talented jewellers work.

New Designers – London

To really find out what things look like on the cutting edge of the jewellery industry, the New Designers exhibition in London simply can’t be beaten. This event collects many of the countries creative students into one end of degree show. It’s all open to the public and is an amazing way to meet some extremely talented people before anyone else gets a chance to spot them! There’s a large section dedicated to jewellery, with plenty more crafts to take your interest too.

Let’s face it, we’d all like to shine and sparkle like the young Hollywood celebrities that populate our screens. As part of our search for some of the best new trends we came across 26 year old High School Musical star Ashely Tisdale. Known for always looking no less than 100% smoking hot, Ashley Tisdale certainly doesn’t disappoint in the jewellery department. Not only has Ashley seen huge success on the screen, she has also enjoyed high record sales and now owns her own production company.

Rambling Muse is a great new blog from London based Clarisse Lehmann and features some great food and drink recommendations for London, travel stories and city guides plus a wealth of other comically written information.

If you've ever doubted that talent in craft exists, then you should definitley check out this show. Featuring not only jewellery and metalwork, you can browse some of the newest designs in ceramics, glass and textiles for hour upon hour. It's fantastic to see some really exciting ideas coming from designers at the very start of thier career. 

Whilst there we bumped into Kirsten Hendrich, one of our very own designers who's work we are proud to stock!
