Stephanie Ray

Stephanie Ray is a jewellery designer/maker based in London. She graduated in 1996 having trained at Loughborough College of Art and Design. 

Steph’s bold, statement designs are characterised by clean geometric lines and by the frequent use of wood, a unique combination of materials.

The ‘Split Cube’ collection featured by The Jewellery Boutique was designed and handmade by Steph in her London based studio. This contemporary collection focuses on the idea of the division of a simple cube. This has been dissected to create a variety of new shapes and relationships between the oxidised silver and ebony. 

The blackness of the ebony and oxidised silver is broken only by the gold leaf applied to the ebony giving these otherwise contemporary forms an almost antique feel. Steph’s designs are truly original, bold, and make a real statement when worn. 

Steph is an established designer/maker and has exhibited nationally at high profile venues/shows such at the Tate, Mima and Origin.
